TLILIC0001 – LICENCE TO TRANSPORT DANGEROUS GOODS BY ROAD

This course is designed for all vehicle drivers wishing to obtain a licence to transport dangerous goods (must be renewed every 5 (five) years).

The Course in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Road leads to the issue of a dangerous goods driver licence which is mandatory for people who operate vehicles that transport dangerous goods in a receptacle with a capacity of more than 500 litres (L) or more than 500 kilograms.

Anyone involved in the transportation, storage and handling of dangerous goods is required, by law, to undergo appropriate training.

Topics Covered

This course applies to any task involved in the transport of dangerous goods by road including:

Packing dangerous goods or marking packaged dangerous goods and unit loads;
Consigned dangerous goods;
Loading dangerous goods into or onto a vehicle, or into a container to be put in or on a vehicle;
Unloading dangerous goods;
Placarding containers and vehicles in or on which dangerous goods are transported;
Preparing shipping documentation;
Maintaining vehicles and equipment used in the transport of dangerous goods and;
Being the consignee of dangerous goods.

Duration

This training program is two (2) x eight (8) hour days.

Payment and Trading Terms

Course Cost $430.00 (this does not include the $57.00 EPA Licensing fee)

All courses require the full amount to be paid prior to make a successful booking. Applicants will be advised of the amount at the time of the booking. Corporate clients, following a successful credit reference check, will be forwarded an authority to invoice on the term of a 14 day account.

Facilities include Credit Card, EFTPOS or Cash.

What you need to know and do

ENROLMENT FORM is required to be completed and sent to our office prior to receiving any course confirmation. Click HERE to download enrolment from.
Prior to enrolling in this course you will need to obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Please visit www.usi.gov.au and ensure you have at least one form of identification
You Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
You will be required to conduct mathematical calculations throughout this course
You must understand and speak the English language at a level that enables safe work
You must supply a form of identification that includes your name, photo and signature
Tea, Coffee & Biscuits are provided (If course is held at our facility)
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the commencement of training
Must have the Service NSW Phone app to check in to venue for contact tracing.

Assessment

Assessments are ‘open book’ where participants are provided the opportunity to refer to the training material.

Licences and Certification

Participants will be assessed throughout the course and must achieve the required result for each module.

Applicants deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a “Statement of Attainment TLILIC0001 Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road”

On successful completion participants can receive the required documentation that allows them to apply for a licence to transport dangerous goods with the EPA.

Cancellations and Withdrawals

In the event of cancellation or withdrawal:

Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment more than 10 days prior to the commencement of a program will be entitled to a full refund of fees paid.
Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment less than 10 days prior to the commencement of a program will be entitled to a 75% refund of fees paid. The amount retained (25%) by Achieve Training and Assessment Services is required to cover the costs of administration and resources which will have already been committed based on the students initial intention to undertake the training.
Students who cancel their enrolment within 1 full business day prior program commencement OR after a training program has commenced will not be entitled to a refund of fees.

If Achieve Training and Assessment Services cancels the training course, and is not rescheduling then a full refund will be returned to the payer.
